Kodak Lecture Series: Michael Awad

Architect and photographer Michael Awad, is best known for his arresting photographs which selectively capture elements that are in motion and leave static elements unrecorded. This work has been exhibited as part of Substitute City at the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery and represented Canada at the 2002 Venice Architectural Biennale as part of Next Memory City. Awad was recently commissioned to create a piece entitled Rush Hour for The Schulick Business School at York University. A solo exhibition, entitled Five Cities, of Awad's experimental urban photography including a new piece commissioned by the City of Chicago is currently being exhibited at The Chicago Cultural Centre from December 17 to February 17, 2005.
